I bought my heater over 10 years ago and it still works great. I originally bought it for my 40ft cruiser and it kept the bilge area from freezing. I always winterized just in case we lost power BT every time I checked it was working great. Mulch better for the batteries and everything down there.

Small but Powerful!
I live in Maryland and winter is never too bad. I bought two 600w heaters one for each engine. Last year I had the BS heater - but it was so big I could only put it on the far side of the bilge. I didn't feel good about the BS heater. But these xtreme heaters are so small I put a 600 w under each enginge. Its kept the bilge nice and toasty. Maybe a little overkill, but I like overkill.

Worth the Cost Compared to Other Bilge Heaters
The Xtreme Heater is definitely more expensive when compared to the other bilge heaters on the market but IT'S WORTH IT! This heater is truly built to last and down the very littlest details of the heater is built tough and is one of the only heaters that is truly waterproof. Why purchase anything else when this option is available.

Impressive Unit
I finally went with a bilge heater instead of winterizing - and thanks to the Xtreme Heater it went as smooth as it can go. It turns on when it needs to and keeps the temperature even in my engine compartment for my Mastercraft.
