Is it ok to set my heater on the floor and not put in the screws?

We strongly recommend permanently mounting your Xtreme Heater. Some customers choose not to permanently mount their heater.

Our quick-release bracket makes it possible to install and remove your heater without tools. If you choose not to permanently mount your heater or use the quick release bracket, remember that it is not safe to use your boat with the heater unsecured as the heater and/or power cord could easily come into contact with the belts and pulleys of your engine, or fall against other components in the engine compartment while underway.
